What is Matrix Reimprinting?

Matrix Reimprinting using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is an exciting and innovative stand alone therapy or additional tool to working alongside traditional EFT, developed by EFT Master Karl Dawson. Matrix Reimprinting is a very gentle, yet profoundly effective technique.

Working with our subconscious beliefs and patterns, which make us act and behave in certain ways, Matrix Reimprinting can help us to change these patterns in profoundly self empowering and creative ways, often bringing to the situation a deep sense of healing, compassion and forgiveness as well as long lasting change.

The History Of Matrix Reimprinting

Matrix Reimprinting is based on the principles of quantum physics, suggesting that we’re all connected to a unified field, the Matrix. In addition each of us have local fields surrounding us, shaping our physical form, behaviours and habits, these local fields are known as morphic fields. Morphic fields also extend into and surround families, communities, cultures and nations, shaping and reinforcing particular traditions and characteristics. In further developing Matrix Reimprinting Karl was inspired amongst others by the work of such people as Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Rupert Sheldrake, Lynne McTaggart and Doc Childre of the Heartmath Institute.

When experiencing any kind of trauma, as a protective mechanism, a part of us splits off, dulling and often blocking out completely the memory of the trauma. These split off parts are known as dissociated parts or sometimes Inner Children. Traumatic experiences are often relived just below the conscious threshold. Karl discovered that rather than being an integral part of us, these dissociated parts are held in our local field as a separate energetic reality outside of our body and mind. Karl named these dissociated energetic parts Energy Consciousness Holograms or very aptly ECHO’s, as they quite literally act as ECHO’s from the past. ECHO’s are like parts frozen in time having their own personalities according to the age and personality of the person at the time of the traumatic experience, which caused the ECHO to come into existence.

Matrix Reimprinting works directly with the ECHO using traditional EFT, but with the ECHO as the client. The role of the ECHO is to hold on to the trauma in order to protect the individual, this takes a substantial amount of energy and as time goes on, it becomes increasingly difficult for the ECHO to maintain it’s protective role, and if left unresolved, often resulting in physical or emotional illness.

According to well known neurologist Dr. Robert Scaer a trauma can be defined as anything that threatens survival or leaves a person feeling helpless and with no control over the situation. Viewed in this way a trauma can be something much less obvious than “big T” traumas like serious accidents, assaults or life threatening illness. “Small t” traumas are more likely to be perceived as traumatic if happening repeatedly or unexpectedly, particularly during the first 6 years of life. A “small t” trauma can be anything from ongoing neglect, any kind of abuse, domestic violence to a more general sense of instability and lack of care in the home environment. To a baby or young child even something as seemingly minor as being left alone for any period of time can be perceived as life threatening. In addition the experience of early trauma tends to sensitise a person to later trauma.

Seen in this light it makes sense to believe that pretty much everybody has experienced one or more events in their life that they’d have perceived as traumatic, ultimately resulting in the creation of ECHO’s.
